This is a tutorial i made to set up Teamspeak for the Monkey-Gamers server.
Here is Our download page that has the Team Speak Client .
Teamspeak - Downloads
Once you download the "Teamspeak 2 Client" you need to install it.
Once you have installed, you need it to be able to connect to the Monkey-Gamers Server.
Open up the client.
Click on Connection and then connect
In the window now opened, right click on server, then left click on add server
Enter a name for the server. I like to use "Monkey."
Click on Anonymous and on Server Password type in the Password "monkey"
Enter the info on the panel to the right. Remember to put your own nickname in.
Now just click connect.
You will need to sort a few things up. First, how to talk. Click on setting then, sound input/output settings.
You will need to setup push to talk or voice activation.
If you prefer push to talk, select it, click on set and press the key you want associated to the talking. If you missed or pressed the wrong key, press on clear and do it again.
If you want voice activation, you need to set the level to which your voice will send the transmission. It must not be set to low so as the mere whisper will trigger it, but you don't want to yell either.
Now you will want to set a pair of keys to mute the speakers and the microphone while you are ingame, as id you are not in the same team, you don't want people to know what you're saying and as sometimes discussions outside of the game occur on TS and it can be very disturbing.
Open key settings.
Press add and in the window that opened, select Toggle, mute microphone, then set the key and click on OK.
Do the same for mute output
You are pretty much done now. Pressing the keys set will mute and unmute microphones and speakers.
****** registering with the server *****
After a TS admin allows you to register with the server(u must be on ts for him to do this)
click on self tab and register with server while still on our TS server
you then click on connection tab then go to our TS server settings by selecting our server
then update the following
I hope this helped you. |

I need some exta help with troubleshooting TS.
My mic works fine on bf2142 voip & on xfire voip but i have no out going sound on TS.
TS is allowed full access through my firewalls.
Its not the voice activation as ive asigned a key.
When i push my key to talk the green light does not light up, this was also the case before i asigned the push to talk key.
This problem has baffled me, any advice would be much appreiciated |
