Well I'm a complete muppet when it comes to anything technical, but I'm going to go out on a limb as I'm sure someone told me this before :D
But I was under the impression that only vista currently makes use of anything above 3 gig, but obviously wait for someone who knows what they are talking about |

| I believe you'll need 64bit OS if you want to use all that RAM. Otherwise you'll only have something like 3,2gb in use. |

I have 4 gig of ram ddr2 dual channel.
On xp it only registers 3.5 gig.
On vist it registers the full 4 gib but it asigns 2 gig of it to the graphics card, fuck knows what this is about.
If i use xp or vista i still get bf2142 memory errors.
My advice is to stick to which ever os you find easiest to use |
